I'm in a small town that most tourists just pass through, but there's actually a lot here if you like nature and a bit of quiet. My place is a homestead with plenty of space, peach trees, and lots of vegetables growing. You're welcome to pick a tree you like and set up your tent underneath, it's coming into summer, so the shade is really nice. There are good spots around here for fishing, bushwalks, hot pools, and even some cold spring pools if you want something refreshing. There's also a local beach that's about a 5-minute walk from the property. I'm from Ngāti Rangitihi and know the area well, so if you want tips or local stories, I'm happy to share. It's a simple place, but a good one if you want space, nature, and a quiet base while you explore.

My kids and I had the pleasure of being Fred's first campers, staying for 3 nights in his lovely orchard, and we really enjoyed the experience. Fred's place is close to shops, the beach and so much more than I was expecting. Fred was an awesome host and tour guide. If we're ever in the region again, we'd love to stay again.
